A review of education in Nigeria

Education used to be a pride for Nigeria and Nigerians. Infact that was what gave us the gumption to fight for our independence. But currently it is a place that we are seriously deficient in the question is what went wrong.

The current Nigeria has become a place where graduates will struggle to construct a sentence without a grammatical blunder which is famously called "GBAGAUN" or "TABON". This is Infact just one leg to it. Currently words like depression, gynaecologist have gradually become words that are been used to embarrass Nigerians in skits.

The educational standard has been bastardized. Like that isn't bad enough there is problem of skill acquisition. There are a lot of graduates who can't do anything on their own. They believe in working for people instead of creating businesses.

To tackle this problems we need to start sending our teachers to training schools, build technical schools, and incorporate skill acquisition into our curriculum.
I believe if all of this is done, the educational standard will be greatly improved.
